Group-2 comprising of classes 3, 4 and 5 were asked to create an underwater scene,a picnic scene, a market scene or a forest. They were allowed to use pastel pencils to give life to their imaginations.
Group-3 The children of middle classes 6, 7and 8 belonged to this category and were asked to use water colours to paint a fruit basket, any festival or a natural scene.
Group-4, the secondary students of classes 9 and 10 were directed to sketch any freedom fighter, leader, sports personality, artist or singer.
Group-5 comprising senior students of 11 and 12 were told to make a portrait on any one of the following themes.“BETI PADAO- BETI BACHAO, SWADESHI APNAO- DESH BACHAO and EKTA KA BAL-DESH SABAL.”

A Very Happy Diwali

Candles of Hope are burning Bright,
Filling our hearts With eternal delight
Hope, joy, prosperity and health
Wishing you happiness & Peace..

The foundation stone laying ceremony for the 8th School of D.T.E.A. was held on 28th September, Sunday at, Mayur Vihar Phase III.The Honourable Union Minister for Urban Development Shri Venkaiah Naidu laid the foundation stone. It was a historic event for DTEA which will be celebrating its centenary soon.

The chief guest Mr Venkaiah naidu in his speech stated that Tamil is an ancient language. It has its own History. Great personalities from Tamil Nadu such as Raja Gopalachari, Kamarajar, M.G.Ramachandran, Sathya Moorthi, V.O.Chidambaram Pillai and Pasumpon Muthu Ramalinga Thevar have made Tamil Nadu proud. Tamil Nadu is an ancient State with glorious tradition. Likewise, DTEA has been providing quality education for the past 90 years. It has been functioning with the aim of producing ‘good thinkers’.

Starting with one student-one teacher, D.T.E.A. at present with 7 Schools having approximately 7,000 students and 500 teachers, has witnessed a great progress during the past 75 years, which is appreciable.

The Minister stated that “The D.T.E.A.’s Management has sought my assistance for up-grading one of their Schools into a College. The requisite assistance will be provided. The Government under Hon’ble Prime Minister Modi will implement developmental activities not only for Tamils but for the people from all the States. We may be from any State; we may be Tamils, Malayalees, Kannadigas or Telungars but we are all Indians. But We should not ignore our mother tongue. While conversing at home, speak in Tamil. Apart from Tamil, the national language Hindi is essential to travel all over India. While Hindi is our national language, English serves as an international language. “

The Minister Venkaiah Naidu further added that “The South Indian people, including Tamils, have become a part of Delhi. But, we should not forget our mother tongue. Therefore, we should use Tamil, the mother tongue in reading and speaking at homes. We should learn Hindi and use it in our interactions outside our homes. In case you want to go abroad, learn English also. Three language formula will be useful to South Indians.”
